FIBEP President's Update 10/2025

WMIC 2026: Tokyo Travel, Key Takeaways, and What’s Next

A Look Ahead to WMIC 2026 in Tokyo

Accessibility is shaping up to be one of the strongest advantages for WMIC 2026, and Tokyo is surprisingly affordable for a global destination.

Estimated roundtrip coach fares:

$1,350–$1,550 USD from Omaha

€950–€1,150 from Düsseldorf

€1,000–€1,200 from Copenhagen

Major airlines such as Japan Airlines, Lufthansa, SAS, and ANA offer reliable, well-timed routes that make Tokyo both reachable and convenient for members traveling from North America, Europe, and Asia.

As a new benefit, we’ll also offer one adventure per day for any spouses or partners who join you on the trip.

Reflections from WMIC 2025 in Düsseldorf

Two key values stood out from the event: networking and content relevance.

The meaningful connections formed in sessions, over coffee, and at the gala reminded us that collaboration is what moves our industry forward.

The discussions on AI, trust, and media evolution provided actionable insights that help members adapt to rapid changes in media intelligence.

These values are central to FIBEP’s purpose: connecting people and advancing shared knowledge.

What I Do at Infoesearch

For those asking, “So Todd, what do you do for Infoesearch?” My focus is on helping the media intelligence and media analysis organizations optimize costs, accuracy, and processing speed. I work on refining MIPO (Media Intelligence Process Outsourcing) and MAPO (Media Analysis Process Outsourcing) operations so organizations can collect and analyze data faster and at a lower cost. I hope this helps.

Kind regards,

President, FIBEP
