About the venue:

The famous Sanctuary of Aphrodite is located in Kouklia village; one of the most celebrated pilgrimage centres of the ancient Greek world, and once a city-kingdom of Cyprus.

Here stood the famous sanctuary of Aphrodite, the most ancient remains of which date back to the 12th century BC. The glorious days of the sanctuary lasted till the 3rd – 4th century. The museum, housed in the Lusignan Manor contains many interesting finds from the area making the Sanctuary the perfect cultural venue to host gala dinners.

Arrival in Cyprus

Entry to Cyprus:

  • Cyprus is a member of EU, however the country is not part of Schengen area, there is a passport and customs control upon arrival

  • A valid passport is required

  • Citizens of the European Union (EU) countries, as well as of Switzerland, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway may enter Cyprus with their national identity card, provided there is a photograph

Travel:

  • There are 2 international airports in Cyprus close to the congress location. One is located in Larnaca, another one in Paphos. The congress venue, city of Limassol, is located just in the middle between these airports.

  • From the airport you can get a taxi to the congress hotel (costs approximately 60 - 80 eur). Some taxi drivers accept credit cards, please check before the ride.

  • You can use a shuttle bus that operates between Larnaca and Paphos international airport and stops at St. Raphael hotel, which is close to the congress hotel (a 5-minute walk) (cost of shuttle bus is approximately 10 eur and can be purchased by credit card).

  • Parklane hotel offers also a paid airport shuttle service (cost approximately 80 eur)

  • Uber and Bolt apps do not operate in Cyprus.

Useful information:

  • The official currency is EURO

  • The electricity sockets are of British type, however, Parklane also offers European type and USB ports

  • Cypriots drive on the left

Weather:

  • Weather in October is still very warm and sunny and invites for swimming and bathing

  • The average daily temperature in Limassol in October is around 25°C (77°F) in shadow, humidity around 60%

  • Rain is rare in October

Magdalena is a sales and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in media monitoring and measurement industry. Currently, she is CEO of NEWTON Media SEE, a group of media monitoring and measurement companies across the Adriatic region and a FIBEP Secretary General. In the past, Magdalena was responsible for managing companies of NEWTON Media Group in Poland and Slovakia. Her experience also includes automatic speech recognition of Slavic languages mainly focused on dictation into computer and TV and radio automatic transcription. She has a university degree in Business administration, marketing and management.

Natan Edelsburg is the Chief Partnerships Officer at Muck Rack, the software platform that enables thousands of organizations including Google, International Rescue Committee, Golin and Duolingo to find the right journalists to pitch, report on media coverage and prove the value of their work. In this role, Natan is responsible for leading and cultivating strategic industry partnerships and driving international expansion. Previously, Natan was Chief Revenue Officer at Muck Rack, where he led the Sales and

Customer Success teams. He joined Muck Rack in 2009 as the company’s first employee and held several positions including Chief Operating Officer, helping to build the business to what it is today. Natan is a member of the Board of Trustees for the PRSA Foundation. He is a frequent speaker on social media, PR, journalism and the future of TV. He’s been honored as one of PR News’ Rising Stars and one of PRSA’s 15 Under 35.
