FIBEP is excited to announce we have launched a podcast! Media Intelligence Explained is a monthly program hosted by Alicja Bors, Product Lead at Rue Point Media, and Identrics CEO, Vladimir Petkov. The pair, along with domain-specific experts, will provide commentary on the latest new media and digital news as well as interviews and analyses. The show provides an excellent opportunity for FIBEP current and potential members and clients to learn more about our exciting industries. 

MEDIA INTELLIGENCE EXPLAINED was initiated in 2022 by FIBEP's Tech Portfolio Vice President Sophia Karakeva, DataScouting. In 2023, the second season will be run under FIBEP's Communication Portfolio Vice President Oresti Patricios, Ornico Group. We look forward to bringing Alicja, Vladimir, and their guests' unique perspectives to a larger audience of like-minded media professionals. 
As of episode 10, the podcast production team uses automatic transcripts by Speechmatics.

Episode Eight
How to Deal with Copyrights

In the 8th FIBEP Media Intelligence Explained episode hosts talk with Christophe Dickès, Global Media & Copyright Director, Onclusive about copyright in the media intelligence industry. Christophe explains why copyright is an important issue for media monitoring companies and stresses the importance for clients as well. He emphasizes on the role that media monitoring companies play when it comes to providing valuable insights to clients (organizations, institutions etc) and stresses the role that FIBEP plays by creating a fair market. Christophe describes three different types of countries regarding copyright in the media intelligence industry and shares his personal, ideal model. Furthermore, Christophe emphasizes on the importance of properly educating clients when it comes to copyright fees and explains what fair remuneration means. Last but not least, Christophe talks about the future of copyright.

Media Analysis - How To Do It Right

In the 4th FIBEP Media Intelligence Explained episode hosts talk with Mazen Nahawi (Founder and Group CEO of Carma and Former FIBEP President) about media analysis. The discussion starts with Mazen talking about the holy trinity within the value chain of media intelligence: media data, media monitoring and finally insights. He explains the difference between a dashboard and insights and who is using each.
