2026 FIBEP Copyright Talks will take place in

PRESSENS HUS (NORWEGIAN PRESS HOUSE)

Norwegian Press House is situated in Skippergata 24, just a block away from Oslo’s main street, Karl Johan.

Eleven companies and organizations in the media industry have their offices in the house. In addition, the Norwegian Press House is also a venue for meetings, get-togethers and conversations on media and journalism in Norway.

Christophe Dickès is CEO of pressrelations France. He was in charge of Media Content and Copyright at a global scale at Onclusive. He works with the publishers and the collective management organizations. He has over twenty years of experience in the world of media monitoring, press review and media evaluation (Press Index, Kantar).

 

As FIBEP’s VP, he leads the Copyright Commission since 2014 and is recognized in the market as an expert: he has worked with the European institutions on the issue of the European Directive for FIBEP and AMEC. In 2016, he integrated the European Legal 500 GC power list which recognizes the corporate counsel who are driving the legal business forward and identifies an array of the most influential and innovative in-house counsel working in the region. In 2019, he was short listed by the European Counsel Awards (Lexology) in the intellectual property category. Christophe holds a doctorate in Contemporary History and a master degree in Politics and Media. He is a contributor to several media and publications.

Sarah focuses on media law, data protection, IT law, and compliance and has been working with pressrelations for four years. She is a legal counselor with a background in international and European law, bringing extensive experience across multiple countries in both legal practice and academia.

 

As a member of the FIBEP Copyright Commission, the International Association for Media Monitoring and Media Intelligence, Sarah actively contributes to discussions on media law and copyright. Over the past hight years, she has dedicated herself to media law and compliance, working on cross-border legal issues that shape the evolving media landscape.

 

Beyond traditional legal matters, her work extends to tackling contemporary challenges such as disinformation and media literacy in the digital age.

Sarah holds two Master’s degrees in French and German law.

Todd Murphy, Executive Director – Global Media Insights at Infoesearch, has over 30 years of experience helping organizations improve how they monitor, analyze, and understand media. He leads efforts that blend human expertise with AI to enhance media intelligence for MMOs, agencies, publishers, and analysis services.

As President of FIBEP, Todd advances collaboration, standards, and innovation across the industry, focusing on AI, outsourcing, and data-driven insights. He also leads the Media Rights Trust Initiative (MRTI), promoting fair and sustainable media content licensing for all stakeholders.

He additionally advises technology startups and community organizations, advocating progress through partnership and shared purpose.

Bob is an MMO and TDM Manager at the Copyright Licensing Agency, where his work focuses on the media monitoring sector. He spent nearly two decades working in media monitoring and intelligence before moving into media licensing in 2013, including experience within a large not‑for‑profit Press & PR department along the way. This background gives Bob a practical, insider perspective on licensing.

Matt is Commercial Services Director at NLA media access, with responsibility for all partnerships with publishers, media monitoring organisations and NLA’s international RRO partners. As part of this, Matt manages NLA’s content database services that provide controlled access to print and online content for the media monitoring sector to support compliance, accurate measurement of copying, and reducing the need for website scraping. NLA also provides services for publishers designed to reduce costs, improve control and unlock additional revenue all of which sit under Matt’s remit – including ClipShare (a journalist research tool providing access to archived news content dating back to 2006, covering more than 125 million articles), Text Tracker (identifying and supporting takedown of scraped or illegally republished content), and Agent for Publishers (management of text aggregator and third party syndication agreements, including content supply, reporting and royalty collection).

Florence Gaullier, partner at Vercken & Gaullier Law Firm, is a lawyer specialised in copyright in all media sectors (press and book publishing, radio, TV, Music, etc.) but also in the digital sector and in IT law (e-commerce, data protection, etc.) at French and European level. She has a very specific knowledge in the collective management of rights and in the media monitoring sector. She works with several MMOs in France and other European countries. Marie is a partner in the Intellectual Property practice group of Taylor Wessing Benelux and heads the Trademarks, Copyrights and Designs practice in Brussels. Marie has considerable experience in drafting IP and IT contracts, including licence agreements, R&D agreements and confidentiality agreements. Furthermore, Marie is a known litigator and has represented clients in multiple (cross-border)legal proceedings at the Belgian and European court.

For over 20 years, Marie-Avril has been advising international clients in France and Germany – with a focus on intellectual property, particularly copyright, trademark, media and digital law. She advises companies and creative professionals on the protection and exploitation of intangible assets and represents clients in complex proceedings concerning counterfeiting, plagiarism, licences and IP contracts before French, German and European courts. 

Thanks to her binational practice, she also supports French companies with establishment and development projects in Germany – both operationally and strategically. Deeply committed to the Franco-German ecosystem, she is, among other roles, a French foreign trade advisor, co-president of French Tech Berlin, and co-founder and board member of APPEAL-E. Marie-Avril is a member of the Berlin Bar Association. 

She regularly shares her expertise in publications and at conferences on intellectual property law.

Pierre Fréaud, a senior associate at Magenta Law Firm, specializes in competition law with a focus on intellectual property and copyright law at both French and EU levels. Magenta Law Firm has prepared two comprehensive reports for FIBEP (in 2020 and 2025). These reports analyze how FIBEP members can effectively use competition law to challenge unfair or abusive conditions imposed by right holders and content publishers, ensuring fair market practices and protecting their business interests.
