
MEET THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
FIBEP is governed by an Executive Board made up of one President, eight Vice Presidents and one Secretary General. Each Executive Board member serves for a specific period, in which they are then replaced by either a lower ranking member of the Executive Board or an elected FIBEP Member.
The federation was founded in 1953 in Paris and now hosts a broad range of activities including the FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress, annual workshops and webinars, senior-networking sessions and a variety of high-impact research studies.

Thomas Vejlemand

DENMARK
Thomas Vejlemand, CEO of Infomedia, is a digital front runner in the Nordics. With more than 15 years of CEO-experience from digital agencies and tech-companies, he is now leading Infomedia into a new era of media intelligence through technology and performance culture as driver for digital transformation. In addition to the role of CEO in Infomedia, Thomas is an active board member in several digital/tech-companies and has lately been appoint to the board of the newly established Danish FinTech organization.

Secretary General
Magdalena is a sales and marketing professional with more than 20 years of experience in media monitoring and measurement industry. Currently, she is CEO of NEWTON Media SEE, a group of media monitoring and measurement companies across the Adriatic region and a FIBEP Secretary General. In the past, Magdalena was responsible for managing companies of NEWTON Media Group in Poland and Slovakia. Her experience also includes automatic speech recognition of Slavic languages mainly focused on dictation into computer and TV and radio automatic transcription. She has a university degree in Business administration, marketing and management.

Gabby Begas, CEO of IFAT Group, the leading business information company in Israel with more than 325 people providing media intelligence, advertising monitoring and analysis, tenders and business opportunities and strategic business research and analysis. He has a strong passion for technology as a former computer programmer. He leads the integration of technology to the media intelligence business. He studied economics and business administration at Tel Aviv University. IFAT Group is also the owner of the public company Trendline (TREN in TLV) a leading provider of stock exchange, finance, legal, tax information transforming Big Data into insights and supporting intelligent decision making.

Global Media & Copyright Director at Onclusive, a global leader in media intelligence, providing clients with the data they need to make informed decisions on all aspects of media measurement. Christophe works directly with the media, the publishers and the Reproduction Right Organisations at a global scale. Experienced Journalist with a demonstrated history of working in the public relations and communications industry. Skilled in Journalism, Media Relations & Copyright, Corporate Communications, Management, and Marketing. Christophe is a strong media and communication professional, Digital expert, with a Ph.D focused in History, Politics & Media from Paris Sorbonne University (Paris IV) and a Digital Strategist Degree from ESG Executive Education. He is the head of the FIBEP Copyright Portfolio.

Vice President
Romina has 16+ years of experience in the media intelligence industry, both in Latin America and Europe. Since 2013 she has been part of pressrelations where she consolidated the company’s system client’s business division. Romina is responsible for improving international strategies, products, and partnerships as well as for commercializing pressrelations’s services and software solutions.
Besides her role at pressrelations, she is now transiting her second term as Vice President of FIBEP, the World Media Intelligence Asocitaion (2019-21 and 2021-23). During her first term as FIBEP’s VP, she focused on communications and development of new formats for knowledge exchange. Now her portfolio embraces the further development of FIBEP’s media intelligence business ecosystem.
In 2021 she became a member of the Technology and Data Committee at the World Innovation and Change Management Institute based in Switzerland. Where she uses her tech background and media knowledge to empower business society, to better harness the potential of technology and data.

Vice President
Oresti Patricios ist CEO of OrnicoGroup in South Africa. He has long been on the cutting edge of the media and advertising industries. Started in the industry in 1984. Oresti was doing his social media MBA at GIBS when Twitter was barely a tweet and has always driven his vision of dominating African media and brand intelligence. He now fronts an organization of more than 200 dedicated individuals that services the top 450 local advertisers and is also chairman of SAMMA (SA Media monitoring and measurement association) as well as a board member of FIBEP (World Media Intelligence Association) and PAMRO (Pan African Media Research Foundation). Oresti also won the “Achiever of the Year” award at the PAMRO conference in 2017 and the Boabab award in 2019. This was in recognition to what he has done for the Research industry in Africa. When not preaching his African vision Oresti can be found tweeting & instagramming.

Todd Murphy

At the age of 13 Todd Murphy developed the broadcast monitoring services for Universal Information Services, a family business. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1991, Todd joined Universal to develop innovative services that deliver media monitoring and measurement tools across all media types. Since 1991, Universal has enjoyed continued growth in revenue and client base, becoming the only company in the United States to comprehensively monitor and evaluate all media types within the company.
Todd Murphy completed the full acquisition of Universal Information Services in 2015, becoming CEO at that time. Since integrating other media monitoring services Todd acquired over the prior 10 years, Universal focuses on growth through innovation and working as a key opinion leader in the media intelligence industry. Todd also serves or chairs several boards of directors for industry associations and non-profit organizations. Todd is married to Stephanie Murphy and has two adult children, Teddy (age 23) and Olivia (age 20).

Steffen Egelund
CEO, Media track
Steffen Egelund has nearly 20 years of experience in the Asia media and tech environment. He is the CEO of Media Track Pte Ltd, a board member of several companies, and a board member of PRCA Asia/Pac - the PR industry body in Asia. He was previously CEO of an Asian PR agency with offices in Singapore, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur. He also started, scaled, and sold a Danish media monitoring company. Steffen was previously head of campaigns at the Danish Parliament for a political party. He was born in Norway, grew up in Denmark and lives in Singapore with his wife and two children

Carlos Diaz
GlobalNews Group
Carlos A. Diaz is General Manager and a Member of the Board of GlobalNews Group, with more than 400 employees, offices in 11 Latin American Countries and in the US and more than 3000 clients, including 100 Fortune500 companies, GlobalNews is the main Media Monitoring, Measurement, Evaluation and Insights company in Latin America.
Carlos has over 10 years of experience in information gathering, measurement and evaluation services. He has helped acquire and develop the methodologies, tools and skills necessary to extract meaningful information from huge amounts of structured & unstructured data at GlobalNews group.
Carlos is deeply committed with the promotion of proper measurement practices that approximate the true value of communications and currently chairs AMEC’s Latin American Chapter.
He also has a background in IT entrepreneurship, having founded three different startups related to the media and information sectors (the last one resulting in a successful acqui-hire by GlobalNews Group) since the age of 18.
In his current position, he has spearheaded four Major acquisitions in 2017 and 2018 (Reporte Informativo, Foco, Keywords and ManagementPress) and has re-structured GlobalNews’ insights department as part of the current strategical growth objectives of the company, as well as entered into the Ecuatorian and Chilean Markets, becoming the second largest player in each market in less than a year. He has championed the re-organization of an industry that is more than one hundred years old from manual, human intensive processes into specialized high value-added human processes that are helped by heavy investment in artificial intelligence and allow the live monitoring and analysis of thousands of media outlets and millions of social media posts.
Carlos is a self-professed gamer, who programs in his free time for his personal pet-projects (currently really into Open Source Home Automation), plays Rugby in the Buenos Aires Rugby Union, and is an avid skier.
