We are pleased to bring together media intelligence professionals from around the world for this wonderful event, which will take place at the Shangri-La Singapore. After 4 years the FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress is going to be held outside of Europe. Singapore belongs to the Four Asian Tigers with fast economic growth and is seen as a leading foreign financial hub.
The main theme of the congress is Future Proof Your Media Intelligence. As the world is facing so much uncertainty, the Media Intelligence industry and FIBEP members are charged with providing insights to clients to help provide clarity. During the 2023 FIBEP World Media Intelligence Congress there will be a variety of presentations, panel discussions, round table talks, and best practices shared. These conversations will focus on the issues that our industry is currently facing in order to move forward together. Please refer to the agenda below for more details.

Sang Shin is currently the Director of Digital Health at ClavystBio, an early stage investment and commercialization accelerator for emerging Life Science technologies. Previously, he was the Director of Digital Innovation at Temasek where he created HyperX, one of the world's first hackathon-accelerator focused on sustainability, and provides startups a pipeline to materialise raw ideas up till the Series A stage.
In 2013, Sang co-founded Been, Inc. and developed the world’s first and only mobile app, Been Choice, that enabled users to monetise and take control of their personal data and privacy, blocking personal data collection and advertising from all mobile websites and mobile apps on iPhones.
However, after the Been Choice app was banned by Apple due to the disruptive threat it posed to the digital advertising industry, Sang decided to move to Singapore to help develop the regional startup ecosystem in Asia.

Enrico Menduni, full professor of “Digital Audiovisual Media” in Universitas Mercatorum in Rome, Italy, since 2010 leads audiovisual media monitoring and analysis projects, mainly commissioned by RAI, Italian Public Service Radio and Television Corporation, and private national broadcaster Mediaset, including recommendation systems applied to streaming platforms. His monitoring patterns are more and more evolving from totally human driven to assisted by Computational Linguistics and Artificial Intelligence, integrating qualitative assessments of media contents with metadata extracted from editorial and social media.

Steffen Egelund has nearly 20 years of experience in the Asia media and tech environment. He is the CEO of Media Track Pte Ltd, a board member of several companies, and a board member of PRCA Asia/Pac - the PR industry body in Asia. He was previously CEO of an Asian PR agency with offices in Singapore, Shanghai, and Kuala Lumpur. He also started, scaled, and sold a Danish media monitoring company. Steffen was previously head of campaigns at the Danish Parliament for a political party. He was born in Norway and grew up in Denmark.

In the past, Magdalena was responsible for managing companies of NEWTON Media Group in Poland and Slovakia. Her experience also includes automatic speech recognition of Slavic languages mainly focused on dictation into computer and TV and radio automatic transcription. She's grown two media and SAAS startups - Storyful & CrowdTangle - globally, and taken both to acquisition. Asha was the first International hire at CrowdTangle in 2015 - a social media content discovery and analytics tool used by tens of thousands of newsrooms, academics and researchers across the world - which was acquired by Facebook (now Meta) in 2016. She then spent 6 years at Meta building out the CrowdTangle partnerships team in Asia Pacific, India, UK & Europe, Middle East and Latin America and growing the business operations and product to help journalists and researchers better understand their and competitors' content on social media and bring more transparency to tech platforms. At Meta, she also ran the international news programs team and worked with the likes of ICFJ and Reuters to build programs to train and upskill people, to continue investing in the future of journalism. Asha is first and foremost a journalist, having started her career in broadcast news in Australia and has spent the past two decades in Asia Pacific working in both traditional newsrooms, and media startups.

Andrew Hughes is Secretary General of the Press Database and Licensing Network (www.pdln.info), the association for international press licensing bodies. PDLN was formed in 2008 and has 35 members located in Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Australasia. It works to improve press licensing for the benefit of content owners, intermediaries and users. Andrew formerly worked at Corint Media, NLA media access, Financial Times and elsewhere on licensing matters.

Jamshed leads the digital practice for Asia at Edelman, which entails owning the business unit PnL, creating digital products/ solutions for our clients, managing digital talent, building and scaling digital capabilities and providing a point of view to the industry at large on marketing trends. In his former role as APJ Marketing Director at Intel Corporation, he was responsible for building and leading brand, media, content, web and social, and performance. He launched Intel’s first real-time digital hub, which created impact and efficiencies in the marketing operations by combining insights and creativity with integrated paid, owned, and earned, to amplify conversation and search. In his spare time he loves reading, cinema and cycling. His claim to fame is that he once finished a pyrenean stage of the Tour De France.
Christophe Dickès is in charge of Media Procurement and Copyright at Onclusive. He works with the publishers and the collective management organisations at an international level. He has over twenty years of experience in the world of media monitoring, press review and media evaluation (Press Index, Kantar). As FIBEP’s VP, he leads the Copyright Commission since 2014 and is recognised in the market as an expert : he has worked with the European institutions on the issue of the European Directive for FIBEP and AMEC. In 2016, he integrated the European Legal 500 GC power list which recognizes the corporate counsel who are driving the legal business forward and identifies an array of the most influential and innovative in-house counsel working in the region. In 2019, he was short listed by the European Counsel Awards (Lexology) in the intellectual property category. Christophe holds a doctorate in Contemporary History and a master degree in Politics and Media. He is a contributor to several media and publications.

Koos is the CEO of X-CAGO. Born in Heerlen, the Netherlands, Koos studied at the universities of Amsterdam and Nijmegen. After his studies, Koos worked as a freelance consultant for a number of multinational companies, with expertise in the field of digital archiving. In 1986 Koos founded his first company. Koos brings his wealth of business experience, entrepreneurship and passion for media to X-CAGO - the company he founded in 2000. Koos regularly speaks at media and publishing conferences, where he provides insights into the print and digital media landscape.
Doy Roque is the serial entrepreneur that founded Media Meter, the Philippines' leading media monitoring firm. Media Mater, has recently experienced considerable growth owing to its pivot towards tech. The company has almost doubled its client base while maintaing its workforce size in the last four years due largely to the software ecosystem it has built largely on its own.
Doy is obsessed with technology and its impact on how people see the world. Aside from Media Meter, Doy has built companies that are now leaders in public relations, digital communications, business analytics, and industrial design, all in the Philippines. Doy's latest project is to expand these companies' footprints to markets in Asia and America.
Doy lives with his wife and four kids in Quezon City in the Philippines.

Carlos is co-founder and CEO of Priberam, where he took several roles in R&D, Product Management and Business and Partnerships Development. Priberam combines Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence to extract actionable knowledge from multilingual unstructured data. The company's client portfolio ranges from brands like Amazon and Microsoft to the major Portuguese and Brazilian media publishers, law firms and the Government. He graduated in Electronics Engineering at Técnico, with a specialization in Systems and Computers and was a full time researcher at INESC.
Eunice Seow is Director, Corporate Communications and Public Relations at TDCX, a customer experience outsourced services provider. She is responsible for defining TDCX’s global communications strategy to build the company’s reputation among stakeholders including the media, investors, employees, clients, prospects and regulators.
Eunice is a firm believer in the power of communications to connect people, to build understanding and to spur action. She has worked on communications campaigns across a wide range of topics, from customer experience and outsourcing to digital transformation, sustainability, and even the change of an interest rate benchmark – Singapore’s shift from SIBOR to SORA.

Sophia has been active in the media industry for over 25 years and she currently holds the position of Chief Communication Officer at DataScouting, a leading software research and development company in Greece. In the past she was a news correspondent for the Czech TV for over 15 years, and worked as a journalist at the Czech News Agency. Sophia is experienced in providing expert consulting, content analysis, and media intelligence solutions. She has a PhD in Mass Communication and Journalism from the Charles University in Prague. Sophia has served as a FIBEP Vice President, leading the Tech Portfolio, and was a member of the AMEC International Board of Directors, chairing the Tech Hub Special Interest Group.
Shubhi Agarwal is the Co-Founder and COO of Locobuzz, a leading global SaaS enterprise that specializes in digital customer experience management. In her role, Shubhi oversees operational excellence, strategic partnerships, business growth, and product innovation for the global market.
With her visionary leadership, Locobuzz has emerged as a prominent player in the industry, boasting an impressive clientele of 50 Fortune 500 companies and Marquee brands across diverse sectors such as banking, hospitality, automotive, telecom, retail, aviation, and e-commerce.
Shubhi is a highly respected gure in the Indian startup ecosystem and has earned several accolades for her entrepreneurial skills, including the prestigious "Women in Leadership Award" at the World Women Leadership Congress in 2020. Florian Laszlo, who studied law in Vienna, began his professional career at Austria's only weekly newspaper for finance and business, Börsen Kurier, of which he is currently the publisher. At 2009 he took over the management of the media intelligence company »OBSERVER« from his father. As the managing director he expanded the firm into a brand intelligence company, adding media resonance analysis and market research to its portfolio. He is also speaker for the Information Service Providers in the Chamber of Commerce and proud Ex-Secretary General of FIBEP.
OrnicoGroup CEO Oresti Patricios is a leading South African thinker on brands, consumers, media research and entrepreneurship, starting his first media business in 1979.
Avid entrepreneur Oresti Patricios has long been a media and advertising industry insider. Self-described as an “entrepreneur, visionary and risk taker” Patricios likes to push boundaries, challenging existing ideas and inspiring his peers and colleagues to embrace growth in Africa and to use entrepreneurial thinking to solve corporate problems.
Patricios fronts Ornico – a company he founded in South Africa in 1984 – which has become a leading Pan-African provider of reputation, media, advertising and brand research. His early entrepreneurial exploits lead to him being awarded the Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award – a particular honour presented to him in 1996 by then President Nelson Mandela.
He further currently serves on several South African and global industry bodies, including SAMMA (South African Media Monitoring and Measurement Association), PAMRO (Pan African Media Research Organisation, FIBEP (the global media monitoring association) as well as the IAB South Africa.
Patricios has an MBA in Social Media from the University of Pretoria's Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS) and also completed a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (Bcompt).
Aseem, a dog lover, is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Impact Research & Measurement Pvt. Ltd. a firm that offers integrated media insights. He is also the Chairman of The International Association of Measurement and Evaluation of Communication. In 2017 he was honoured with the AMEC Lifetime Fellowship Award for his contribution to the Industry.

Vladimir's professional path has always been related to data and innovation. He has about six years of experience in digital media and business development, gained at Economedia, Bulgaria’s top news publisher. After that, he continued his journey at A Data Pro, a global company specialising in content, data and business intelligence services, as a Chief Technology Officer. Since 2016, Vladimir has been CEO at Identrics, and now he is also Chief Data Officer at the newly established business community of Updata One.
